The bellaSavio Approach to weight management and wellness is centered around three guiding principles: Acceptance, Wisdom and Growth.  These three principles will guide your success, and should be considered on an on-going basis.  Personal growth will be a continual by-product of your efforts as you begin to accept yourself, gain wisdom and move forward. 

There are a number of tools and methods that you can use to facilitate personal growth. These include:

  • Gratitude is a tool that you can use to improve your attitude about yourself and about life in general. For centuries philosophers and religious leaders have touted that gratitude as a virtue is of vital importance to our health and well-being. It has been said that "gratitude is the key ingredient for success".  Gratitude can redirect your mind to see the positive in life, even during difficult times.
  • Relaxation is a well-known technique that is used to facilitate healing by clearing your mind and allowing your body and mind to devote energy on restorative functions.  By slowing down your rational mind with relaxation, you will have a better perspective on stressors in your life, and new thoughts and positive visualizations will be more readily received by your subconscious mind.
  • Visualization is a powerful tool that can be used to reprogram your subconscious mind to make positive and lasting lifestyle changes.  Visualization is a conscious thought process that is typically directed toward self-improvement.  Athletes have used it for years.  Visualization allows you to see and feel yourself in a specific state - as you want to ultimately be.  Through repetition, a new mental image of yourself slowly becomes hardwired into your subconscious mind, new habits begin to form, and your subconscious mind automatically starts to work to make this desired self-image come to fruition.
  • Complimentary & Alternative Therapies are medical  and healthcare systems, products, and practices that are not currently part of standard or conventional medicine.  Alternative therapies are treatments that are used instead of standard ones.  Complimentary therapies are nonstandard treatments that can be used in conjunction with standard ones.
